1. The Clergy Caucus of Northeast Ohio Alliance for Hope (NOAH) is shaped fundamentally by the prophetic vision of God's passion for justice for every child of God; that resources should be shared and everyone empowered to live into their highest potential.
2. It is God's intention that all people live together in the shalom of a heavenly harmony not only in the hereafter but in the here and now.
3. We believe that God has particular concern for the oppressed, the outcast, and the despised in our society. We believe that God judges the oppressor.
4. Social and political structures that benefit only some and not all are evil in God's sight. God's people are required to confront both the spiritual and structural powers and principalities that divide one person from another by race, by class or by any other "ism".
5. Both the powerful and the powerless are hurt by unjust structures.
6. We are called on by God to change the systems that cause the injustice.
7. We believe that people of good will of all faith traditions are natural allies in the witness for freedom and we welcome every person to the task.
8. Therefore, we form ourselves as a caucus of spiritual leaders who will build relationships with each other, develop lay leaders in our congregations, articulate a vision for regional equity, attack concentrated poverty, and with God's help, create a community of accountability in order to make our vision a reality.
9. We confess that without God's Spirit, we cannot bring to fruition the fullness of God's intention for the world. Yet, we are to participate, as the Spirit of God calls us, to this vision of a just world by the use of our time, our talents, our treasures and our best selves.
10. We ask God's blessing upon us.
