Dialogue
In February of 2008, a listening campaign was conducted for the purpose of identifying the concerns of the community. In those sessions we passionately discussed issues like Abandoned and Vacant Properties, the need for mentoring programs, crime and safety, civic engagement, city pride, unity to overall Community Involvement. By the end of these sessions, it was obvious that the number one issue concerning our community was Abandoned Vacant properties. Other priority concerns were crime and safety issues, community involvement in our schools and young people, and overall community involvement.
